Desert with Anari Cheese and Orange

Desert with Anari Cheese and Orange A favourite Cypriot desert with the perfect combination of anari, cinnamon, walnuts and orange!


Step 1

Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Place a sheet of aluminium foil onto a baking pan.

Step 2

Separate the baklava sheets and wrinkle each one into a ball. Place onto the baking pan and bake for about 15 minutes or until rosy.

Step 3

In the meantime, beat the anari, milk, sugar, cinnamon and orange zest in a blender until well blended. Place the mixture in individual bowls and crush the baked baklava sheet on top.

Step 4

Sprinkle some walnuts on top of each bowl and drizzle with the orange jam. Serve immediately.


150 grams baklava pastry sheet
700 grams Kouroushis fresh unsalted anari
150 grams fresh milk
100 grams sugar
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon orange zest
60 grams chopped walnuts
Some orange jam to garnish
