Chicken souvlaki with Yoghurt and Curry Delicious chicken souvlaki inspired by middle eastern flavours.

Method

Step 1

Soak the wooden souvlaki skewers in water for about half an hour before cooking to prevent burning. In a bowl, mix the yogurt, curry, olive oil, salt and pepper.

Step 2

Cut the chicken in small, bite-sized pieces and add them to the yogurt marinade. Mix until the marinade evenly coats the chicken. Next, cover the bowl and put the bowl in the fridge and let the meat absorb the flavours for 2-3 hours.

Step 3

Take the wooden souvlaki skewers and carefully skewer the chicken pieces. Cook under the oven grill or in a preheated oven at 200°C for 35-40 minutes. Alternatively, you can skewer the chicken on metal skewers and cook for 20 minutes over charcoal.

1kg chicken fillets
1 ½ cup KOUROUSHIS strained yogurt
1teaspoon curry
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt, pepper
